The 1290 Days is a date in time. [ 1290 AD ]

"the daily sacrifice shall be taken away."

Jesus took the place of the daily sacrifice and was taken
away. [ 30 AD ]
"And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all
nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up
unto God, and to his throne." Revelation 12:5

The 1260 Days is a period of time.
"And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath
a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there
a thousand two hundred and threescore days." [ 1260 ]
Revelation 12:6

From 30 AD to 1290 AD is 1260

"and the abomination that maketh desolate set up,"

And today, world bankers rule. They can make desolation.

So, when Jesus said, "When ye therefore shall see
the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel
the prophet, stand in the holy place, whoso readeth,
let him understand: Then let them which be in Judaea
flee into the mountains:" Matthew 24:15-16, Daniel 9:27

At the time of Jesus Christ, the Temple was the holy place.
After Jesus went to heaven, there was no holy place but only
in the life of the belivers. At the time Jesus said that,
the people knew he was talking about the Temple,
so the abomination of desolation stood in the holy place
during the 70 week back when there was a Temple.

So why the space between the 69 and 70 weeks?
Daniel 9:24-27

Making a new Temple is not going to make it holy.
Only when Jesus comes back to earth will a new Temple
become a holy place.

After the great battle Armageddon the people come from
the cities to clean up the mess, not the mountains.
"And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and
shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and
the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves,
and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:"
Ezekiel 39:9
